Okay...so I didn't do what I'd set out to do and write a Christmas Fluff-fest and I'd been doing for the past few years. This year, I just wasn't really feeling christmassy. Don't know why. BUT, before I got into the blahs, I did write something -- two somethings, actually. One, a cracktastic thing set in the Fableverse.

You guys know the "Fableverse" right? This is the 'verse that was spawned by my fic, Fable and has resulted in many wonderful fics and pictures by the talented guardian_kysra. Most notably, Potrait, Likeness, and Brush Strokes; and many wonderful art stuffs (also writing, but I don't think she's posted any of the writing) by the incredibly talented Absentia.

The art is too numerous to link to, but you'll find it if you follow Kysra's or Abbie's dA pages or if you go through the favorites on my dA page.

Anyway...I've only written a handful of things for this 'verse myself (and I don't know why), but as I was listening to Christmas songs a few weeks before Christmas, this one song came on and I had to write this short little cracktastic scene.

And now, a week after Christmas, I share it with you. I hope you enjoy.

So Lillith, my muse and thrice damned absent bitch, has yet to return from her latest flight of fancy - god only knows where. (Em and I think she might have locked herself into an opium den with Chang as her captive audience. As I told Em, it really does Lilith no good to go to such extremes for a bit of nookie considering I have the key to her chastity belt. Of course, Em replied, that a man of Chang's resourcefulness and collection of skeleton keys would make short work of THAT obstacle).

In an effort to entice her back (and to teach myself to write on command), I have subscribed to Merriam-Webster's WORD OF THE DAY e-mail list; and starting tomorrow I will be writing DAILY ---

YES YOU READ THAT RIGHT DAILY ficlets using the word of the day as a prompt. These ficlets will not be part of any particular fandom, character, or world - in fact, it could very well be original stuff, just anything that flips my fancy at the time.
